"Flying Fifteen" Fleet news

At present we have six boats at PRSC and sail from October to late June, most of our courses are an Olympic triangle/ sausage configuration and we have a fleet of Open boats at present. (We anticipate Silver Fleet Boats, "sail numbers below 3200" to race in Albany shortly)

Crewing a Fifteen is fun for all ages,from Husbands and wives, family and members of all ages.

Our youngest and oldest skippers have a generation between them and still compete on a level field.

The International Class "One Design" Flying 15 was designed by Uffa Fox in 1947. It is a high performance, light weight, planing keel boat that has stood the test of time, providing fast, exciting, ‘close to the water’ racing for sailors of all ages.

It is ideally suited to the conditions in Princess Royal Harbour and will provide fun and excitment for everyone involved.

It is possible to start competitive ’15 sailing for $5- 10000 in an older ‘Silver’ fleet boat and if the bug really bites, to move to more recently built boats priced from lower double figures upwards. Newer ‘Open’ fleet boats also become available, and for those who desire brand new, a Perth based professional boat builder produces a World class product, fitted out and equipped as required.

We currently have a Club Flying Fifteen that is available for loan to prospective FF sailors.
