The Final race of the Winter Series and the "Brass Monkey" race took place in a cool and sunny North Westerly with course number five taking the fleet of eleven boats around the harbour. A handicap start allowed the smaller boats again to take advantage of the clear air and in the end Steven Browns "Mary Maitland" skippered by Vera Bierman, held off the four Flying Fifteens and six Division 1 boats to finish first in the "Brass Monkey"race.

Fastest on the course was the Bull 9000 "Sitting Bull" skippered by Murray Howson.

The winner of this years Winter Series was the consistentley sailed "Matador" skippered by Michael Cameron.
