TWILIGHT SAILING

New Year’s Eve for the year ending 2022 will be celebrated as a family event encompassing a twilight sail followed by dinner at the club, shanties by the
ShantyLillies, and viewing the 9.00 p.m. fireworks over the city from the club deck.

It will be a casual affair and members are encouraged to bring their family and
friends to enjoy the evening.

1700 – 2200 Bar opens
1730 - 1900 Cruising yachts leave the marina for a rally cruise around the harbour with guests and expected return to the club at 1900.
1730 – 1900 Club cruisers Gypsy Doctor, Defiance & Baci and power boat Responder available for off the beach dinghy sailors and friends
1800 – 2030 Dinner service by AYU's Indo
2000 – 2045 Shanty gig by the Shanty Lilies
2100 Fireworks, City of Albany
2200 Close

General

• Yachts are encouraged to dress with fairy lights, bunting, etc.
• Skippers are encouraged to take visitors sailing, should space allow
• The club’s Yachts and Responder will be available to take guests on the water.
• Bar service will be as for regular trading.
• Following the evening, some yachts may wish to wait for the official New Year and sail across to the inner harbour to continue festivities up close with the fireworks.
