How to prepare for sailing…

Everyone should be prepared with suitable clothing:

  • Sunglasses & a well-fitting hat that won’t blow off (we suggest a tie cord)
  •  Waterproof jacket & a jumper
  •  Footwear with soft rubber soles
  •  A bottle of water and a healthy snack
  •  Apply sunscreen before you leave home

Safety and responsibility …

All Sailability participants must adhere to Sailability & PRSC rules and policies including…

Life-Jackets: All participants MUST wear a correctly fitted lifejacket at all times on the pontoon, jetty and onboard any boat.

Skipper’s Instructions: The skipper of the boat is in charge and responsible for the safety of all on-board. Everyone must listen to, respect and follow the skipper’s directions and instructions.

Support Workers:  It is your role to take care of your person’s well-being and encourage and support them to engage with the activity as fully as possible to ensure that they get the most out of their sailing experience. Speak with the skipper about how your person may participate & any special requirements. Ask for assistance if you need it.

Have fun and enjoy your sailing experience!
