16th - 18th April 2026 - Coaching Clinic & PRSC Youth Great Southern Regatta

EVENT SCHEDULE 

PRSC Youth Great Southern Clinic & Regatta is an event for junior and youth sailors U20, comprises coaching clinic in the morning and afternoon coach run regatta.

This clinic and regatta is focused on growing participation in junior and youth classes, increasing sailors’ skills, fostering social connection, and building friendship and community between regional youth sailors, coaches & instructors. 

• To join in we ask that you have some form of formal sailing experience (such as completing Tackers/Start Sailing Courses). 
• Please plan to arrive with a dinghy that is well maintained and in working condition.
• Invited classes & fleets (don't see your class here - then contact Benn to find out if you can come along):
  • Single Handed - Minnow, Optimist, Open Skiff, ILCA (4, 6 & 7)
  • Double Handed - Pelican, Mirrors, 420, 29'er, 125, RS Feva, RS Quest, Pacer

Princess Royal Sailing Club & Australian Sailing Coaching Clinic: The coaching clinic will be organised by Australian Sailing qualified coaches.

Princess Royal Sailing Club Junior & Youth Great Southern Clinic & Regatta:

Put your recently gained knowledge to the test with the afternoon racing, run by your experienced coaches.  This regatta will allow the participants to upskill their knowledge and confidence in sailing & racing.  Additionally, there is a focus to allow South West Regional Instructor and Coaches to develop and upskill, collaborate and learn from very experienced coaches - if you are a coach/instructor please register:

Camping will be available:

If you require camping for the Clinic and Regatta it will be available at nearby Albany Rifle Range from Wednesday night - Camping will be $40/night for a powered site and can be paid on arrival.  Camp kitchen and ablutions available. If you have any questions regarding the camp sites available please contact Benn Gray 0429 956 865.

Canteen will be open each day of the clinic from 9.30am - midday.

Entertainment will be provided at the club Friday and Saturday nights. Hopefully sailors can join the Freo-Albany fleets as they come in on the Sunday!
